In 1965, Amy was born in Canton, Illinois. The first born child to Diana and Dennis Roberts, she was a precious little girl. In 1970, the family moved to Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Amy was very close to her brother, David, and her parents. She was always smiling and loved to laugh. Amy was outgoing from a young age and carried an energy about her. Her father loved to take pictures of Amy with his 35 mm camera. He remembers that she looked so cute in red.

Amy made many wonderful friends at Ann LeTort Elementary school all the way through Penn Manor High School in Millersville. She was close to her friends for life. There are many memories of summer days at the Millersville swimming pool that seemed to last forever. There were also skiing trips with her family and friends. She enjoyed going with friends to the Pinacle on beautiful summer nights to talk about the world, the universe, and life. Amy loved to laugh and enjoyed spending time with her friends.

She graduated from high school in 1983 and later received a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications from Clarion University in 1988. She loved traveling and her adventures to South Africa and Europe were incredible. Even though life took her friends in separate directions over the years, Amy kept in touch with many friends from her childhood. She loved getting together with friends or writing to long lost friends on e-mail around the country. Amy was there to support so many people.

Her greatest joys in life were the birth of her two children, Alexandra and John. Amy will be remembered as one of the most friendly, outgoing, mischievous, and fearless friends. She was upbeat and open for new experiences. Kind-hearted and caring, she always greeted you with a hug and gave you a hug when she said goodbye. Over the years, she collected friends and welcomed them into her world because she knew the value of a friend. Amy will be best remembered for her generous spirit, the twinkle in her eyes, her smile, and her laugh. We love you Amy!

Funeral services were conducted by Life Celebrant Josiah Anaya in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. The personal service included family candle lightings, Amy's life story, incredible music, and special memories shared by her friends and family. Amy's wish was to be cremated and her family has honored her wishes. Her family believes Amy's final advice to everyone would be to relish the moments you have and share with each other. Don't ever think that you can do it tomorrow.

Memorial donations are welcome to the Amy Holler Family Memorial Fund c/o Hershey Federal Credit Union, 904 East Chocolate Avenue, Hershey, PA 17033 or to the American Cancer Society, www.Cancer.org.

Remember Me

Remember me on quiet days
When tears from heaven turn to rain.
But in your memories have no grief
Just let the joy we shared remain.
Remember me when evening stars
Look down on you with twinkling eyes.
Remember me when you awake
To see a golden bright sunrise.
Look for signs that I am close,
Like butterflies or the moon above.
Remember hugs and kisses, too,
Those special expressions of my love.
And when you stop and think of me,
Do not be sad, please do not cry.
But live for me and laugh for me,
For when you’re happy, so am I.
Remember jokes and times we shared.
And as your time and life goes by,
Think of me with happy thoughts
Because while you live, I shall not die.

Don't cry because it's over. Smile because it happened. ~ Dr. Suess
