Doris and Robert Lange welcomed little Robert Frank Lange, Jr., into the world in 1956. The couple was thrilled with the birth of their first son. He was quickly nicknamed, "Bobby." He was child number three, following older sisters Margie and Cathy. His favorite color was always orange. One time, when his mother was having bridge club, Bob and a neighbor girl drew all over Margie's bedroom wall in orange crayon. Bob had a great relationship with his parents, whom he called Doris and Archie. He inherited his kindness from his mother and his strong work ethics from his father. He was loved by all of the children in the neighborhood and had many friends. He enjoyed having pets like his black poodle named Inky and his chameleon, Charlie. One summer, he took Charlie to camp, another camper opened the door to the cage, and Charlie escaped. Bob was always forgiving and forgave the child for the mistake. Bob was a wrestler in high school and he was an avid photographer. He graduated from high school and went on to earn a Business degree from internationally recognized Babson College in Massachusetts. Bob was always a success, working hard.

In 1980, while working with Hertz Rent-A-Car as a City Manager in Dulles, he met Tricia, who was working as a Station Manager with Hertz. A friendship developed first and then Tricia asked him out. They dated during a four year period and then, one night, Bob called Tricia on the phone and proposed. The couple was married in 1984 in a summer wedding in Alexandria, Virginia. Their honeymoon in Bermuda was filled with sunning, snorkeling, scootering, and shopping. Bob enjoyed his hobbies: Scuba Diving and Golfing. The couple went on to have two wonderful sons: Robert Frank Lange, III, and Peter Christopher Lange. Bob loved his family, his wife, and children the most in life. He also loved his work family with nearly 20 years at Toyota.

His sons have so many great memories over the years, because he taught them how to ride bicycles, how to throw football, how to play basketball, how to golf, pool badminton, and how to fish at Big Bear Lake. He loved watching them play soccer when they were younger and later watching them in the marching band. Robert plays the French Horn and Clarinet, while Peter plays the Alto Sax. He was always proud of his sons and was looking forward to both of their graduations in June. Bob had many favorites in life. He loved the Food Channel, he loved music from Fleetwood Mac to Bob Dylan, his favorite movie was Animal House, and he had a great appreciation of The Three Stooges and Saturday Night Live. His final words to his family were the words, "I love you." Bob's advice: "Be happy. Love each other. Have fond memories and go on living your life. Do what you want to do in life." The hardest part of his life was watching his father's passing, but the best part of his life was his family. Bob will be remembered as kind, loving, and funny. He will be remembered as one of the good guys, a generous man... We love you and we will remember you every day...
