Little Keegan was born to his parents Brett and Rene, weighing 3 pounds, 14 oz. He was 16 inches in length. Rene's pregnancy was easy and she got really big, really fast. Everyone was excited by the news of an upcoming baby, including Brett's Crescenta Valley Soccer Club. While in the womb, his parents played a variety of music including classical, rock, hip hop, and top 20 tunes. They talked to him regularly and he reacted with movements to their voices. He moved around to the sounds of music and to hearing Brett's voice. His parents talked to him about his life, such as playing ball, telling him all the things they would teach him, and it was like he lived his life in stories. Brett was a dad early on, sharing the rights and wrongs of life with his unborn son while Rene was nurturing, always offering comforting words to her son. Little Keegan was cremated in a special Winnie-the-Pooh outfit decorated with baseballs and soccer balls, that he received from his great grandparents.

Keegan is survived by his parents Brett and Rene, sister Samantha, along with two sets of grandparents Sharon & Sam and Diane & Mark. He is also remembered by his aunts Tina, Sheri, Kelly, Amber, and uncle Tristan. His parents believe he is sitting with Thor, the God of thunder and lightning, in the halls of Valhalla, the place where great warriors and heroes go in death. To his parents, relatives, and friends...Keegan Sebastian Vorster was their little warrior... He is now in a safe place as we love and remember him often...
