Kristofer Michael Chart was born in 1966, at Simi Valley Hospital. An adorable toddler, at the age of four, he won a baby beauty pageant in his category. Kris loved playing cards and games with his mother, Pam. He was a wonderful child, always trying to please everyone. He was willing to work hard and even had his own paper route. While he was in Northern California, he worked at the circus with his stepfather. Kris graduated from Simi Valley High School. He was loved by his entire family and especially close to his grandparents, Carveta and John. In 1989, Kris moved in with his grandparents and he found a job he liked at Ralphs. In fact, he would work at Ralphs as a box boy for 11 years. His mother, Pam, passed away unexpectedly in 1990. Kris always knew he had the support and love of his grandparents. He also enjoyed visiting his Aunt Theresa in Texas, Uncle Terry in Colorado, and taking trips to Las Vegas. Kris liked bowling and joined a bowling league. Over the years, he loved watching action movies. His favorite action heroes were Bruce Willis, Sylvester Stallone, Steven Seagal, and Chuck Norris. In 2000, Kris embraced his big life adventure by moving to Florida. He had saved money to buy a bed for his apartment and a bicycle for transportation. He quickly found work at a Cash & Carry store for six months and later, he landed a job as a stocker at Walmart. Every Sunday night, he phoned his grandparents to check in with them. He always closed those conversations with the words, "I love you." In 2006, he took the train by himself and returned home to live with his grandparents. Walmart transferred his job to the Porter Ranch location where he worked the night shift. He loved his job. The best part of life for Kris was always his family. He will best be remembered for his love of animals, riding his bicycle, wearing baseball caps, and watching his favorite DVD movies. A tall man at 6’9”, Kris will be remembered for his big giving spirit in life. Overly generous, his final gift was his choice: Organ donation to help other people in need. His family believes Kris is now at peace. Kris is loved by his entire family: Grandparents Carveta and John Warner; Aunt Theresa Baer; Uncle Terry and Jodie Baer; Aunt Sue and Greg Dewar; cousins Lisa, Terry, Brianne, Brandon, Joshua, Ashley, and Taylor; and first cousins Bobby, Victoria, Brian, and Lauri. |
