Celebrating Life Everyone Has A Story... |
Journal | Press | New Profession | Blog |
Richard was born in Kingston, Jamaica. He grew up in the Cayman Islands. The family home was located across from the sea. His father was a merchant marine while his mother worked as a seamstress. Richard was surrounded by a huge support system of aunts, uncles, and cousins. He spent much of his youth drawing and sketching, dreaming of one day becoming an artist. When he was 12, his family moved to the United States. He graduated from high school and went on to art school to become a graphic artist. He spent a few years working at Image West and went on to KNBC as a graphic artist for 12 years. He earned several awards while at Channel 4, including an Emmy for Graphic Arts in 1989. Richard will best be remembered as a loving husband and a devoted father who adored his two beautiful daughters, Rachel and Sarina. He loved reading bedtime stories to his children and tickling them just to hear their sweet laughter. Richard Dixon was independent, honest, loyal, and compassionate. When you look at his daughters' smiles, you will remember the gifts that Richard left behind... |
